Another exciting finish! Which is why March Madness is one of the most exciting sports events period.
Virginia redeems iteself. After being the first #1 seed to lose to a #16 seed in the tourament, the Cavaliers survive to be the last remaining #1 team this year and cut the nets for the first time in school history.
Congrats to Robert Rubin, Carlos DeMelo, Dawg Kane and Rick Buziak. All payouts have been made. Another tournament in the books.
Robert Rubin finished with a pick percentage of 75% and points percentage of 62.4%. IMpressive numbers given the number of dogs winning this year.
A perfect bracket would have netted you 255 points. Dogs won this tournament at a 31.7% rate - 20/63.
Median and average pick percentages dropped to a tournament low of 62%.
Interesting to note that the NET Rankings bracket finished 6th overall in its first year of use. This is far better than any index bracket has ever performed with a pick percentage of 70% and a points percentage of nearly 50%. Perhaps there is something to the NET Rankings methodology after all.
Thanks to everyone for playing - see you all next year!
