Congratulations to those who are taking home the funds:

George Brayer - $525
Daryl Grace - $210
Tony Perazzo - $105
Emma Rose Swinney - $20 (It was tough to beat that Mascot Bracket to the bottom!)

Some interesting facts about this year's results:

All the favorites won in the final four which lowered the dog winning percentage to 23.8% (15/63). Perfect picks would have netted you a total of 263 points for the tournament. It is also important to note here that for purposes of the pool, there was no underdog pick in the championship game as both North Carolina and Gonzaga were #1 seeds even though North Carolina went into the tournament as the fourth #1 seed and Gonzaga was the third #1 seed. I have thoughts on how to handle this for next year.

A total of 10 brackets picked the winner this year - the most since 2012 when 16 brackets picked Kentucky to win it all.

George Brayer secures his spot as the first household in the 11 year history of the pool to win it two years in a row (Patrick Brayer won last year). George previously finished third twice (2016 and 2010). In addition, his winning bracket is the most points scored all time in the pool (168) and his pick percentage is tied for 6th all time (75%). His points percentage (points earned out of all points possible) was 63.9%.

Daryl Grace now has the second highest point total in pool history (166) and tied for fourth highest pick percentage (75%).

All the winners have been contacted about their winnings and payouts are in process. Thank you all for playing and I look forward to doing it all again next year!
TOURNAMENT PRIZES
Prize Info - March 27, 2017

The prize pool is determined by the total number of paid entries into the pool less PayPal fees (some people just don't know how to gift money) and a free entry to the pool organizer which pays for the cost of the software.

This year's prize pool is $860. After deducting $20 which is returned to the last place entry, the remaining pool is split per the following approximate percentages:

First Place: 62.5%
Second Place: 25%
Third Place: 12.5%

This makes the split as follows:

First Place: $525
Second Place: $210
Third place $105
