Prize Info
The prize pool is determined by the total number of paid entries into the pool. This will be published after the start of the tournament. The actual prize amounts will be determined by the total prize pool less 8% percentage to cover administrative fees (software and PayPal costs) and awarding a last place prize of $20 according to the following percentages:
57% will go to the Grand Prize winner
22% will go to the second place winner
11% will go the third place winner
That's 92% of the entry fees returned to the players.
For example, if there are 50 paid brackets, the prize pot is $1000. For that $1000,
$570 goes to first place
$220 goes to second place
$110 goes to third place
$20 goes to last place
Which leaves $80 to cover software and hosting costs, PayPal and postage fees.
The four cash prize winners will receive their winnings within two weeks of the end of the contest. If you want a check mailed to you, send email to ncaa@bkane.com with the name you want on the check and the address you want the check sent to.
